Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara has been the recipient of many distinctions, including an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara made her name as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also part of her main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). In the following year, O'Hara and Candy began working on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984) and she earned critical acclaim for both her work as a comic actor and writer. She was awarded an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was named to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert. Also included were Dwayne Colbert (Steve Carell), Tina Fey and Keegan-Michael Key as well as Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows. Suzy Nakamura. Sam Richardson. Jeff Richmond. Jason Sudeikis.
