Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the end of the seventh season the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
